Why Are You PROUD To Be IRANIAN?

Iran-soccer-fans3Every person has a certain pride about their culture. Maybe it’s because I’m Iranian, but I have this feeling that Iranians are some of the most vocal when it comes to appreciating and taking pride in their nationality. We’ve all been to 13bedar and seen the multitudes proudly sporting their “Persian Pride” shirts, the personalized license plates making statements in Farsi or  the excitement you see in your parent’s eyes when they talk about how no other vacation spot in the world will compare to Shomal…

The Question is- WHY ARE YOU PROUD TO BE IRANIAN?

The choices provided in this poll are more to get your mind racing…we want to hear your personal and creative answers!

THE RESULTS ARE IN! As of November 9. 2009- this is what your fellow Iranians are proud of when it comes to being Iranian!

Culture 41%
Iranian Heritage & History 22%
Family Values 14%
Other answer… 11%
Persian Food 8%
The Success of Iranians Like Shirin Ebadi, Christiane Amanpour & Others 5%

Those who got creative and added their own answers were proud to be Iranian because of…

“Jesus’s plan for the people of Iran”
“The Most Beautiful Women On The Planet!”
“Hospitality”
“We Know How To Party!”

What makes me proud today is so different from what it has been for years. What makes me proud are the young generation of Iranians showing me what a free spirit one could hold inside despite of oppression, sensor and intimidation of a regime that reserves no value in either human life or destiny
